Refugees are people who are leaving poverty stricken countries that are desperately in need of aid. They leave their countries on boats that are in appalling conditions. They are leaving because they have hope to build a new life is Australia, a prosperous, enjoyable one. It will give the refugee's better opportunities and qualities in their lives. But sadly this isn't happening to them. After battling over the oceans, struggling to keep themselves alive and trying not to get eaten by sharks, they are then held captive and are put into a detention center which is practically like a jail, in the outback of Australia.
